I’m up in the Eastern Sierra today, finishing up photography for my upcoming presentation on the Owens Lake dust control project. Yesterday was about checking out the birds at the lake; I had the pleasure of being taken on a tour by Michael Prather of the Eastern Sierra Audubon Society. (You can find pictures from my tour of the dust control project here.)
Mostly we saw gulls and American avocets; other birds were there but were too far out for me to capture with the only strength telephoto lens that I have. Here are more pictures from yesterday; Not much time for narrative this morning because I’m headed out the door to continue.
