Placerita Canyon Nature Center

Over in the southern end of the Santa Clarita Valley is the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, an oak woodland area with willows, sycamores, and a seasonal stream and waterfall.

The stream flows usually until late spring.
There are numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties.
The Nature Center staff put on an animal show every weekend where they educate kids and families about native wildlife.

Last year, there was much rain so there was also much green vegetation in the spring...

There are some really interesting rock formations here...
