Peace, Tranquility, and Jerry Springer!

Finally! I just finished my photography class – a fast paced 5-week course that has been a lot of work. While I did learn to work my camera better, I will be relieved not to have to run my camera in manual mode anymore.

For our final project, we had to pick a theme. Mine was “peace and tranquility”. It turned out to be incredibly ironic because this past week was one of the hardest I’ve been through in a long time, and peace and tranquil I was definitely not! If I had chosen “Rampant Chaos”, I would have had plenty to choose from. (What’s Jerry Springer got to do with this? You’ll have to scroll down to find out!)

Here’s the rest of my peace and tranquility project …

As you can see, some are better than others, but overall, I was happy with how it came out. And now, here are some other shots from my other projects …

For our first project, we were given a list of 10 words we had to express photographically. This was my submission for ‘texture’:

And this was my submission for ‘tower’:

The other project that generated a few interesting shots worth sharing was the project called “A Day in My Life”. This one was challenging because my life is truly boring. But, nonetheless, I did have some fun with it. This picture is my desk in the morning; I start working on my paid blog sometime usually around 4:30 or 5:00 am, and this is what it looks like:

I am also a music editor, and this is my editor and my mixer:

And this is my mixer. I’ve always loved mixing boards, with all their buttons and knobs ….

The family has been working on a puzzle for the last couple of weeks. We’ve just left it set up on the coffee table and every one takes a shot at it from time to time. It’s actually been quite enjoyable. Here’s the shot I took of the puzzle:

And finally, last but not least, sometimes I have to admit that I do watch Jerry Springer …

I’m so glad to be back – out of all my three (so far) websites, this is my favorite one to play on. And now, back to my regular posts; I have much more to post!
